My Second Opinion Consultation is a 60-minute, in-depth visit for residents who want a fresh, thoughtful look at their mental health treatment. Many people seek a second opinion psychiatric consultation when they feel stuck, overwhelmed by conflicting advice, or unsure if their current diagnosis or medications are truly the best fit.

During this 60-minute second opinion assessment, I carefully review your history, current and past diagnoses, prior medications and responses, side effects, therapy experiences, and any relevant medical or reproductive factors. This expert mental health review is not rushed; I invite you to share what has felt confusing, invalidating, or simply not helpful in your care so far.

My goal is to help you move toward a more informed psychiatric decision, not to undermine your current clinician or pressure you into a particular plan. I focus on clarity: Are there other possible diagnoses that should be considered? Are your medications optimally chosen and dosed? Are reproductive, hormonal, or life-stage issues — such as pregnancy, postpartum, PMDD, or perimenopause — being fully taken into account?

At the end of this second opinion consultation, I provide you with clear, concrete recommendations and explanations in plain language. Some patients choose to continue working with their existing psychiatrist or primary care clinician using the guidance from this consultation, while others decide to transition ongoing care to me. Either way, my priority is that you leave with answers that make sense, a better understanding of your options, and a renewed sense of confidence in the path ahead.

These visits are cash-pay, and a superbill can be provided upon request.
