Follow-up Psychiatric Assessment

My Follow-up Psychiatric Assessment is a focused 30-minute appointment for patients who have already completed an initial evaluation with me. I use this follow-up psychiatric assessment to check in on how you are feeling, what has changed since we last met, and where you still need support.

During this 30-minute follow-up, I will ask specific questions about your mood, anxiety, sleep, focus, and daily functioning. This mental health progress review gives you time to be honest about what is working, what is not, and what feels realistic to adjust. I pay close attention to side effects, life stressors, reproductive changes, and transitions such as pregnancy, postpartum, or perimenopause, and I adjust treatment with those in mind.

If you are receiving depression and anxiety follow-up care, I will track your symptoms over time so that changes are based on a clear pattern, not a single hard day or week. When needed, this treatment adjustment session may include fine-tuning medication doses, considering new options, supporting a gradual taper, or strengthening non-medication strategies like coping skills and routines.

These visits are also a space to process what you are going through emotionally. Many patients use follow-ups to talk through relationship stress, work burnout, postpartum challenges, or ongoing trauma responses while we refine the treatment plan. My priority is to make each follow-up feel purposeful and collaborative, so you leave with a clear understanding of why any changes were made and what to expect next. Over time, these consistent, thoughtful check-ins help build stability and confidence in your mental health care.

These visits are cash-pay, and a superbill can be provided upon request.
